While metropolises are continuously expanding, the Earth itself is not getting any bigger. This growth has a huge impact on the environment as the process of development for our communities constantly requires a huge chunk of our natural resources. The Earth is not an unlimited well that can replenish itself to match the pace of modernisation.
The Sustainable Solution in an evergrowing city seeks to minimize the negative environmental impact of buildings by efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy, development space and the ecosystem at large. Sustainable design is no longer the way of the future, it’s all-important at present and will reward all communities that embrace it.
With this panel proposal, the aim is to seek materials and forms of construction that would prove to be sustainable, environment-friendly and yet be true to Bauhaus principles and aesthetics. To preserve on-site trees and planting a few more has been one of the many views towards this idea, thus by utilizing necessary space and giving back to nature.

The idea is to build an interactive space to encourage reciprocal communication between visitors and space, both emotionally and behaviorally. True to Materials, a simple yet subtle principle of Bauhaus, has been taken as a prime source of concept here. Rammed Earth and Green Concrete have been introduced as sustainable materials in this project. The massing of the blocks has been done in a way to entertain courtyards with ample natural ventilation & sunlight. The Campus becomes an adobe of practical knowledge with strong roots and ever-adapting possibilities
“Thinking the world anew.” Leaving behind a legacy; these materials will be eroded by time. This process of erosion is expected to occur, like the fermentation of wine, time will give its unique flavour.
