ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT:
Creation of a center for social, cultural and economic reactivation of the city. The idea of a radial organization that unites the project at a central point.
PLAN SITE:
Taking into account the concept of reconstruction of the urban fabric of the city of Dessau destroyed in the war, the location of the project responds to this concept that has as a perimeter block, respecting the factory production patterns and the geometry of the land.
IDEA:
Generate a direct connection with Dessau and the center of the project, which is not limiting and does not produce the island effect. To attract the citizen to the center, with pedestrian spaces that allow the proliferation of uses and activities.
The program surrounds a small square that is considered as a central point and has as it’s function an outdoor cultural space, in the same way to generate greater interaction between students, tourists and residents of the city.
Create a park as a boundary that protects the building and its program from the noise caused by the trains that pass by the project.
