Change was never an option. It was a necessity.
Recognized by our masters in the past, the Bauhaus school was the fruit of this revelation. It emerged as an artistic bower for people to retreat from the horrors of World War I, re-establish their identity, and redefine the harsh reality. We endeavor to do the same with Bauhaus 2021: to create a place of Hope, Influence, and Exploration.
Humankind began at the heart of nature, where natural elements and ideas ensured a paradise. With time, ideals progressed and multiple technologies were overexploited to materialize these ideals. The intervention aims to re-explore our natural past, allowing technology to contribute, rather than disrupt the balance.
Here at Exzenter, a student has no age limit, and is viewed as an individual who is eager to learn, appreciate, share and develop their understanding of art in its multifaceted glory. Thus the design seeks to simulate an environment that encourages a journey of introspection, for all to become superior versions of themselves.
CIRCULATION
A continuous system of cycle tracks derived from the surrounding context, connects every space on campus for ease of accessibility. This advocates a healthier ecosystem and a more active lifestyle for both students and the community.
KIT OF PARTS
The modularity of kit of parts allows for multiple interpretations using the same fractal unit, which proves beneficial for creating a variety of spaces within the institution.
