Whatever the meaning of the memorial of Mies’ knowledge, it must be a universal space, a space for everyone.

Urban situation.- A system of urban voids generated by Mies’s planning for the campus is recognized. One of the benefits of planning is the spatial flexibility of the entire complex, through the proposal they are given a new meaning of linking and containing complementary activities to the program that benefit the immediate environment of the intervention.

Campus situation.- The established qualities and pre-existence of the buildings and spaces available for the intervention are taken advantage of, in this way a set linked to the campus is generated that allows spatial fluidity, containment and the development of activities complementary to study, research and recreation.

Suspended program.- To take advantage of the maximum public space, the maximum spatial fluidity and the minimum intervention, the program is arranged in a suspended manner through tensile structures that enable spatial fluidity within the campus.

Structure, facade.- The program is supported by a post-tensioned reinforced concrete grid that transmits its loads on 12 columns, allowing the typology of an open plan in the lower part. Through a hanging system, the façade allows free access to any part of the perimeter of the building, in addition to generating cross ventilation for air conditioning.

Adaptable patios.- Adaptable urban furniture is proposed that complements the program of the bookstores, these spaces can be for exhibition, recreation and rest as soon as the furniture will be arranged in different formation.
