The proposal takes inspiration from many of the architectural theories and projects which have shaped the early architecture of Mies Van Der Rohe. The choice of a free plan design, which is then confined within 2 horizontal platforms that clearly define the building’s shape, serves the purpose of maintaining a clear and flexibile organisation which allows the users to make use of most of the built area with the least restrictions. The raised platform makes this object stand out, as it is seen as almost floating above the ground: an object of architecture that draws attention to itself.
