The project seeks to celebrate the collaborative spirit of the Bauhaus by showcasing and reinterpreting the marketplace as a flexible spatial integration of workshops and exhibition spaces that facilitate the rich exchange among artisans and the industry.
A marketplace is conceived as a ring around the site boundaries – formed by a tight weave of workplaces and exhibition spaces below centralised dormitory blocks that surrounds the central exhibition space set amongst a landscaped courtyard.

workshop & market: along the ring, they are where students work, share and exchange ideas with one another
landscape: connects different spaces together
residential: connects to reading room and other respective blocks via landscape
each block has a discussion room for students to study together as well
