Interactive communication is the theme of the Bauhaus Campus 2021.
Each building of the ensemble is positioned and architecturally designed to allow for an ex- change between the residents and visitors, as well as a symbiosis of different functions.
Concrete walls which are connected to the buil- dings divide the courtyards and form spaces for outdoor work. The café visitors are able to experience the Bauhaus life on the campus. The auditorium can also be played from the inside as well as outside. So that open-air per- formances are also possible.
To escape the hustle and bustle of the heights, each student has his own room with a small garden, oriented towards the sports and leisu- re area in the backyard.
Guests of the residential tower have an over- view of the whole event. Although it is subordi- nated to the smoke tower, it serves as an urban reference point and welcomes visitors to Des- sau travelling by train.
