VISION STATEMENT
We aim to create a space that follows Bauhaus principles embracing the new world of technology and innovative ideas. To commemorate the iconic movement and emphasize its significance, we focus more on designing unconventional and individualistic spaces rather than pre-existing prototypes. The Bauhaus building should have a unique representation of the radical change it brought and the history associated. It should be an iconic portrayal of the globally renowned Bauhaus art style while accommodating to and upholding its immediate context. Eliminating the pre-existing spatial hierarchy & instigating new ways of engaging and thought-provoking spaces for the budding artists to break the anatomy of the typical built form of educational institutes. Simplifying and blending the spaces adopting technology and subtle transitions manifests minimalism and the unified vision. Maximizing the interaction by merging the usable space with landscape and establishing good built-open connections further provides the users more exposure.
CONCEPT NOTES
- The forms are unified together through ramps, which merge with the land, maximizing interaction and user exposure through subtle transitions.
- Maximum open spaces create a thought-provoking and inspiring environment.
- The transition in privacy levels is very subtle, with buffer spaces connecting all forms.
- Spaces are convertible and multi-functional, emphasizing the minimalism vision.
